03/11/11 It’s that time again, time to lose an hour of precious sleep as Marshall County springs forward one hour.  Daylight Savings Time officially starts on Sunday morning at 2 a.m.  so remember to turn your clocks ahead before going to bed Saturday night.

Fire officials are reminding citizens to change the batteries in their smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors.  The presence of working smoke alarms in the home can mean the difference between life and death.  Citizens are urged to use the beginning and ending of daylight savings time as a reminder to check their smoke alarms and replace faulty and broken ones.
