07/18/11  Joe Donnelly raised $453,122.91 for his Senate campaign in the second quarter of 2011, the vast majority after declaring his candidacy on May 9th.  Donnelly also reported $685,838.06 in cash on hand, according to documents filed with the Federal Election Commission and posted on his campaign website today.

Senate candidates are required to file a paper copy of their finance reports, which can create a delay in between filing and public release of the documents by the FEC.  House candidates file electronically, making their disclosures instantly available to voters.  “As a House candidate, my reports were always available online as soon as we filed,” said Donnelly.  “Voters deserve the same transparency from me now that I’m running for Senate, and my campaign finance report is now available at JoeForIndiana.com.”

“Joe is gaining momentum, and supporters are responding to his record of fighting for working- and middle-class families,” said Donnelly spokesman Ben Ray.  “Hoosiers deserve a Senator who works as hard as they do, and this report shows that Joe Donnelly is dedicated to building the campaign they deserve.”
