Bowman, a 5’7” forward, is a versatile athlete who earned 20 total varsity letters during her high school career, including three with the basketball team. She was named the “Defensive Player of the Year” her senior season at Eastern.
“Alison has worked very hard to become an extremely fundamental team player,” said Eastern coach Jeremy Dexter. “Alison does all the little things and I believe people who come watch Ancilla play over the next two years will see a player who goes at it 100 percent every play and is never willing to give in. She just keeps coming at the opponent. She wears the opponent down and her passion and effort is infectious to her teammates.”
Bowman is the daughter of Tammy and Jimmy Bowman. She will graduate from Eastern with an Academic Honors diploma and plans on studying Nursing at Ancilla.
“I thank God for this opportunity and for giving me the ability to play basketball,” said Bowman.
Ancilla College is a Catholic, two-year, co-educational, liberal arts college in Donaldson, Indiana sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ.
