11/18/11 Oliver Ford is at it again! That’s right, and this time they are collecting food that will be distributed to the elderly. When asked why Oliver Ford was taking on another challenge Jennifer Houin said, “Because we are flippin crazy, no I’m just kidding. There are elderly and young children right here in our county that need help as the holidays come and we want to be in the forefront to do just that.”

Houin said, “We are teaming up with our local Elks Club to help the elderly in need and will be doing our first drop of food the week before Thanksgiving. We will be doing another food drop the week before Christmas.”

This fundraiser is called “Fill A Ford Focus.” Anyone can participate by stop in at Oliver Ford on East Jefferson Street in Plymouth and place non-perishable items in the Ford Focus sitting in their showroom. If folks drop off six or more items they will receive a gift certificate for a $15.00 lube, oil and filter change. When asked what kind of goal she had set Jennifer Houin said, “The only goal we have is the one to get the very most for those that need our help the most.”

PHS Basketball fans will also have an opportunity to help with this food drive. There is a bright red Ford Focus parked inside the school and fans who donate at least 6 non-perishable items during the high school basketball games can also receive a gift certificate for a $15.00 oil change. Game dates are December 2nd, 6th, 9th, 21st, and 22nd. Donations will be accepted from 30 minutes before the JV game, through the first quarter of the Varsity game.

Items accepted include non-perishable canned and boxed food items, grooming supplies, and paper products.
