06/16/11 Mike Hite, Plymouth Park Department Superintendent is pleased to announce that Centennial Park is full of beautiful flowers.

On the evening of Sunday, June 12th over 60 wooden planter boxes were filled with flowers that were grown locally by grower Mike Woolfington.

For the second consecutive year, members of the Plymouth Rotary Club and members of Cub Scout Pack 222 and Boy Scout Troop 257 helped plant the flowers.

Planters have been in the park for six years, the brainchild of Superintendent Hite.

There are a couple of planters available for sponsorship.  Cos is $150.00 for the first year of sponsorship and $50 the following years to maintain sponsorship.  Anyone interested in sponsorship a flower box in the park should contact the park office. 

The Park has already set the date for 2012.  Flower planting will be the Thursday after Mother’s Day, with a rain date of that following Sunday 6pm.
