06/17/11  The Michiana Racers Hall of Fame is proud to announce the class of 2011 inductees.  The inductions will take place this Friday, June 17th at the Plymouth Speedway during the regular racing schedule.  Inductees for the 2011 year are: Howard “Cap” Arnold- owner and driver of Midgets and Modifieds; Mike Bingaman- owner and driver in the Supermodifieds class; Art Chizum- owner and builder of Osceola Dragway in Osceola, IN; Tony Elliott- Driver in the USAC Silver Crown, Sprints, and Midgets; Dick Humes- driver of the Parts truck and long-time supplier to local racers; Conan “Moose” Myers- Stock Car driver of ASA, Artgo and USAC Late Models.  These individuals have dedicated themselves to racing and have greatly contributed to the strength of motorsports in the Michiana area.  Congratulations to these veteran racers who will be honored!  Be sure not to miss the Hall of Fame Inductions at the Plymouth Speedway this Friday with a rain date scheduled for Friday, June 24. Gates open at 5 P.M. followed by practice and time trials with the Hall of Fame inductions starting at 8 P.M. followed by opening ceremonies.  Racing action presented by Chain of Lakes Services will kick off immediately after featuring the Dragon Race Fuel Outlaw Late Models, Teacher’s Credit Union Late Models, Front Wheel Drives, Street Stocks with Twin 25 lap Features and the Dizzy Stick Street Car Race.  Don’t miss all the action happening at the Plymouth Speedway where the racing is live every Friday Night for the best entertainment in Michiana!
