03/07/11  The Marshall County Commissioners have a full agenda for their meeting Monday morning beginning at 8:30 a.m.

James Scott from Online Data will be on hand to present a mail service proposal and Linda Rippy, Executive Director of the Marshall County Historical Museum will present her quarterly report. Sheriff Tom Chamberlin will request permission to hire additional personnel to fill vacancies and EMA Director Clyde Avery will present his monthly report.

At 9:30 the Commissioners will consider Ordinance 2001-02 on second and third reading.  The ordinance is an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance regulating rural signs.

Other agenda items for the commissioners will be the request of Jerry Fussell from the Health Department to attend the IEHA Response Team training and the request of Michael Marshall the County’s IT Director for a storage server.

Rich Ulrich, Director of the County’s Building and Grounds will address a major problem at the County Museum.  A fire in the elevator in late November has put the lift out of commission.  Because of the age of the elevator making the necessary repairs will be expensive and they were not budgeted for.  The equipment must be repaired because of ADA compliance.

Other agenda items include a progress report by Josh Wakeland the new Veterans Service Officer, and update of activities at the Highway Department by Neal Haeck, County Attorney Report by Attorney Jim Clevenger and the County Auditor’s Report by Penny Lukenbill.

The County Commissioner’s meeting is open in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.  Meetings are open to the public for comments and questions.
