11/15/11 RockTenn completed its acquisition of GMI Group (Corpak, Inc.; Foil Laminating, Inc.; and Varipak, Inc.) effective October 28, 2011. The GMI facilities manufacture corrugated pizza boxes as well as micro-flute clamshells, lids, film and foil laminates. Six manufacturing and distribution centers are strategically located throughout the U.S.: Atlanta, GA; Knox, IN; Plymouth, IN (two plants); St. Louis, MO; and Tulare, CA.
RockTenn is excited to have the strength of these operations now part of the Food service Packaging unit of the Company’s Corrugated Packaging and Recycling group. For RockTenn customers, the acquisition will enhance our ability to help them grow their business by offering a broader range of innovative corrugated and specialty products; an expanded geographic reach; and an unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
