03/03/11 The Marshall County Reading Council was hosting its annual Young Author’s Conference on February 24th but the mini-blizzard forced the postponement of the event.  The Marshall County Reading Council has been able to secure the guest speaker and the event has been rescheduled for for Monday, March 14th at the Lincoln Jr. High at 6:00pm. The guest author being featured this year is Helen Frost.

Frost is the author of Monarch and Milkweed and six novels-in-poems for readers in elementary, middle school and high school. Frost will do a meet and greet with the Young Author Contest winners and their families at 5:30pm the night of the conference. At 6:00pm Frost will put on her program for the public to discuss her work and experiences as an author.

The price per person for the program is $2.00 or $5.00 per family. Books written by the author will be available to purchase at the conference and Helen Frost will sign books after her program.
