Hope is that “Courageous” will Open in Plymouth

September 12, 2011
By

09/13/11 Several churches in the area are working to bring a wonderful family film to Showland Cinema and Jack and Dawn Roose from Shiloh Wesleyan are heading up one charge.  Showland has told them if they can pre-sell 1,000 tickets by Friday, September the “COURAGEOUS” will open in Plymouth.

Roose said, “Excitement is growing as time is getting closed to the premier of “Courageous” on September 30th.  More importantly our community has the power to bring this mover to our local theater but, we must act now!”

Filled with action-packed police drama, “Courageous” is the fourth film from Sherwood Pictures, the movie making ministry of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia.  Riveted moviegoers will once again find themselves laughing, crying, and cheering as they are challenged and inspired by everyday heroes who long to be the kind of dad that makes a lifelong impact on their children.

Four men with one calling, to serve and protect.  When tragedy strikes home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their fathering. Protecting the streets is second nature. Raising their children in a God-honoring way?  That’s courageous.

This is a movie you won’t want to miss, especially if you are a parent.  Contact Dawn Roose at 574-948-0815 for further information and please visit www.courageousthemovie.com for videos and much more.

We are definitely looking forward to this movie! And we respectfully submit this comment. We have been sensitive to the need to support that segment of the movie making industry that supports and produces Biblically-valued movies for several years now. Time and again, we have had to make the drive to Chippewa in order to show support of these productions, as the owner of Showland (and Tri-Way) has chosen not to bring said movies to his establishment. He has also chosen to enforce quite un-family friendly policies. That is his choice. In turn, we have chosen not to profit him with the God-given finances that flow through our household. As we re-examime this issue, in prayer, we invite your further input.

I have pre-screened this movie 3 times now and can’t encourage you enough to go and see it. Sign up now! As parents, and especially fathers, we have such a RESPONSIBILITY to make sure our children are raised to seek and love God…we are the examples!
