Hutson Signs with Ancilla Men’s Basketball

April 19, 2011

04/20/11 Two-time Indiana All-State selection Alexander Hutson has signed with the Ancilla College men’s basketball team for the 2011-2012 season.

Hutson, a 6’2” point guard, was a four-year standout at Seeger High School in West Lebanon, IN, under coach John Collins.  Hutson’s signing gives Ancilla head coach Greg Neeley his first true marquis recruit of the recruiting season.

“Alexander is very talented and will have an immediate impact on our program,” said Neeley.  “We are proud to have him join our basketball family.”

Hutson finished his career at Seeger with 1,542 points and also posted 19 assists in a single game.  He was a four-time all-conference selection for Seeger, an Honorable Mention All-State selection from the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association, and a “Top 100” selection.

He is the son of Mark and Chrystal Hutson and plans to study education.

“I really liked the atmosphere and education,” said Hutson of Ancilla College.  “I’m happy to bring a positive attitude to Ancilla.”

Ancilla College is a Catholic, two-year, co-educational, liberal arts college in Donaldson, Indiana sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ.
