Kerst, a 6’0” shooting guard, was an All-Conference and All Bi-County selection at Seeger under head coach John Collins. He is the second Seeger player to sign with the Chargers this season, joining teammate Alexander Hutson.
“Wally is a very good shooter and has a good feel for the game,” said Ancilla College men’s basketball coach Greg Neeley. “He fits in well with our vision for Ancilla basketball.”
Kerst lettered three years under Collins and led the team in three-point shooting percentage and free throw percentage. He was also selected as the team’s “Best Defender”.
He is the son of Wally and Robin Kerst and plans to study Physical Therapy.
“I like how the (Ancilla) coaches talked about the basketball program and their expectations,” said Kerst.
