07/11/11 One of the big events of the summer is just around the corner and taking registrations for a day of fun, food and fellowship for the benefit of Plymouth Women’s Athletics.
Plymouth Country Club will again host the annual Ladies Big Red Open Scramble set for Thursday August 4. Registration is at 9 a.m. with a shot gun tee off at 9:30 a.m.
All proceeds go to help women’s athletic programs at Plymouth Community Schools. Over the years the event has donated money to help out many programs including;
-2006 assisted the Girls Varsity Golf team with their expenses at the state tournament golf championship
-2007 The Ladies Big Red donation went to new girls volleyball uniforms.
-2008 new girls basketball uniforms
-2009 new girls softball uniforms
-2010 new girls track uniforms and cheerleading outfits
Cost will be $80.00 per participant. That cost will include, a sit down lunch, 18 hole Scramble with cart and an awards ceremony back in the club house after the day of golf. Cash bar will be available all day. Beer and pop are included with your cost on the course.
All this for a great cause: helping our Women Athletics at Plymouth High School. The Ladies Big Red Open is a 501C3 Tax Deferred Organization.
Golfers can put together a Foursome or Fivesome or come as a single and a group will be found for you. All Checks should be written to LADIES BIG RED OPEN $80.00 per player or $320.00 per foursome. Lunch only is a $50.00 donation. Donations in addition to the day of golf are encouraged and welcome.
