03/04/11 The Marshall County Local Emergency Planning Committee will host a Hazardous Material Release Incident Training Exercise this Saturday, March 5th from 8 a.m. to noon at the LaPaz Community Building.  This event is complete free to all who attend.  Coffee and refreshments will be provided.

The Haz-Mat tabletop training exercise will have a large focus on NIMS (National Incident Command System) and Unified Command Systems and how to respond to a major hazardous material incident, emphasizing Command and Control, Communications, and Accountability.

Randy Stone will be the facilitator for this training.  This offers the opportunity for some of the best training most Emergency Responders and others attending will ever have.  All interested emergency responders and support personnel are urged to attend this training.  In the presentation format everyone present will become intimately and individually involved with various parts of this training.

This training is a valuable tool for emergency responders including fire, EMS and police, elected and appointed government officials from all levels; city, county, state and federal.  Others who should consider attending include representatives from schools, road supervisors, and persons in industrial and business management, hospital personnel, and John Q public.

Everyone is invited to attend although the Marshall County LEPC would like to have you register the number of your staff that will be attending. Contact Gene Gray at 941-4420 or John Grolich at 933-3352 or email marshallcolepc@embarqmail.com.
