02/04/11 The Life Enrichment Center at 1305 West Harrison Street in Plymouth will be the site for “Health Week” event sponsored by the Marshall County Council on Aging. 

Activities begin next week.  On Tuesday, February 8th Dr. Carrie Cadwell will present “Understanding Anxiety and Depression in Older Adulthood” at 2 p.m. 

On Wednesday, February 9th it is a full day of activities. At 8:30 enjoy breakfast with Dr. Josephine Randazzo.  The South Bend Medical Foundation will have an informational booth from 12:30 to 2 and the Ancilla College Nursing program will offer blood pressure and glucose screening from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Thursday’s activities at the Life Enrichment Center during “Health Week” will include Rosie Regedanz from Apex Therapy at 10 a.m. and Kim Lintner from the Center for Hospice will speak at noon. She will be discussing “Medicare A: the Hospice Benefit.”

Activities wrap up on Friday, February 11th with Karen Richey of the Marshall County Purdue Cooperative Extension Office.  Karen will speak on “Foods that Reduce Cancer Risk” at 1 p.m.

“Health Week” at the Life Enrichment Center is next week and the public is encouraged to attend one or all of the discussions.  Free refreshments and door prizes will be offered during each activity.  For more information call the center at 936-9904.
