Response: The Secret Service made the decision to purchase two buses from a Quebec-based manufacturer because they produced the only model that could support the weight of security and communication equipment the Secret Service needs. President Obama has used one while traveling across the U.S., and the other will be used for the eventual Republican presidential nominee. In fact, President Bush used the same Canadian company for a bus for a tour in 2004.
