LJH 8th Grade Girls Win

05/05/11 The Lincoln Junior High track teams traveled to Warsaw on Tuesday evening for a meet against Edgewood Middle School.

The 8th grade girls won their meet by a score of 71-29.

Allie Wright set a record in the 400m with a time of 1:01.62 while leading the way as a triple winner for Lincoln.

Others placing for Lincoln:

Hunter Stevens 1st – 4 x 400 relay, 200m, and 2nd – 100m

Megan Sutton – 1st shot put, 2nd discus

Nicole Snare – 1st – hurdles

Abby Patrick – 1st 800, 2nd 1600

Kaydon Fosler – 1st high jump

Haley Harrell – 1st – 4 x 400 relay

Amber Eckman – 1st – 4 x 400 relay

Layne Holloway – 2nd shot put, 3rd discus

Libby Read – 2nd 800, 3rd 1600

Libbie Portteus – 2nd – high jump

Megan Maxwell – 2nd -200

Makayla Haenes – 3rd – shot put

Katelyn O’Neal – 3rd hurdles, 100

Cassie Quissell – 3rd high jump, long jump

Janessa Salazar – 3rd – 800

Sammi Davis – 3rd 200

The 10 member 7th grade girls team had a great showing, however came up short with a score of 26-74.

Shannon Stevenson was a double winner in shot put and discus, and 3rd in high jump

Others placing for the Red Storm:

Shayla Beagle – 2nd -shot put

Elise Patrick 2nd -hurdles

Lexie Mahabeer – 2nd – 100, 200

Natalie Wright – 3rd – hurdles

Brooke Wagner – 3rd – 1600, 800

The Red Storm boys 8th grade team lost a close one by the score of 46-54.

Taylor Fulton was a quadruple winner in the 100, long jump, 4 x 100 relay and the 200

Double winners were Christian Bastardo in the 400, 4 x 100 relay, 2nd – hurdles, 3rd – 100 and

Ryan MacLain in hurdles, 4 x 100 relay, 2nd – long jump

Kyle Lacefield was the only other first place finisher in the 4 x 100 relay, 3rd discus, and 2nd (tie) in high jump.

Others placing include:

Eduardo Zamudio – 2nd – 400

Kennedy Schneiders – 3rd – 1600

Kevin Escobar – 3rd – shot put

Reuben Osman – 3rd – 800

The 7th grade boys lost by a score of 41-59.  Leading the way for Lincoln was Trevor Neidlinger with firsts in the 100 and 200.

Steve Helm – 1st – 400, 2nd – long jump

Jack Barron – 1st – 800, 3rd – long jump

Also scoring points:

Bodie Neidig – 2nd discus, shot put

Kam Ray – 2nd – hurdles, 3rd – 800

John Eberly – 3rd – hurdles

Jacob Rachiele – 3rd – 100, 200

The Red Storm will run against Triton Wednesday evening at Lincoln Junior High with field events beginning at 4:30.  They will also host the Red Storm Relays on Saturday at 9:00 at Plymouth High School.
