Over the weekend, the Red Storm Cross Country team ran at the Culver Invitational at Culver Military Academy on a cold, rainy Saturday. However, this did not stop the runners from placing well or running personal bests time at the meet. The girls team took 15th overall, and were led by Rachel Crawford placing 22nd out of 379 runners with a time of 12: 16. 8th grader Brooke Wagner was close behind with a personal best time of 12:48 and 8th graders Rachel Rettig (13.32), and Elise Patrick (14:24) were right behind the leaders of the Red Storm with two PR’s. 6th grader Sydney Holzwart followed with a time of 14:39, while runners, Jasmine Baird, Courtney Bradley, Alexis Aistrop, Janelle Cleveland Reanne Stiles, Julie Bachman, Macy Goble, and Hattie Myers all crossed the finish line with personal bests times for the season.
On the boys side, the Red Storm finished 17th overall, led by Andrew Miller with a time of 12:10 and Jason Barahona right behind with a time of 12:11 to take 82nd and 83rd out of 376 runners. Chris Noodwang (12:55) and Zacc Hutchings (12:21) were right behind with personal best times for the season. Tavion Marshall, Doug Overmyer, James Doody and Joel Funston stayed close together while Hayden Barwell, Zach Moser, Colin Graber and Shane Pursch all finished with PRs for the day. Curtis Smith, Aaron Hall, Isa Frias, Trevor Pletcher, Keith Longnecker, Cam Carter, Jared Sutton and Dakota Hall all had great times for the race!
