Lets be clear the state official is an employee of the Indiana State Excise "TAX" office. Her yes vote and subsequent overturning of the local decision to deny a permit is based on the effort to generate MORE state excise "tax" revenue. This tax like gambling revenue is considered a "sin" tax and the State seems to have no problem creating as many ways as possible to collect more of this tax. Well intentioned local people who seem to geniunely feel that there are more than adequate numbers of retail outlets for this community are being highhanded by State Government.
