11/23/11 Students of Menominee Elementary competed in the Stuff The Turkey Food Drive. During the drive 2,561 food items were collected. Collected food items were displayed in the library and last Friday the foods were divided up into 15 Thanksgiving Food Baskets for Menominee families needing assistance.
Little Caesars in Plymouth supported the food drive by providing incentives for the students in the various classes to collect the most food items. Little Caesars will provide the classroom with that collected the most food items with a pizza party and the winners in each grade level with certificates for breadsticks.
The results are in and the third grade students in Mrs. Stettlers class brought in a total 301 items. Complete results are:
