12/15/11 Miller’s Senior Living Community held their annual Holiday Open House on Sunday, Dec. 11th.  Santa was the guest of honor and with the help of his elves he made sure everyone received a candy cane, a pencil or a holiday mint while they were there.  He listened to all the children’s wishes and he spent time with the seniors as well.  The hallways and tea lobbies were filled with Christmas trees and everyone in attendance was asked to vote for their favorite tree.

Winners of the Festival of Trees will be announced later this week.  Musicians Mark and Liza Woolever were dressed in period costumes and strolled through the building playing traditional Christmas carols on their folk instruments.  Delicious refreshments made by the Miller’s dietary department were also served.  Door prizes were given away.  It was a festive afternoon for young and old alike.
