10/14/11 On Wednesday, October 12th at approximately 9:54 a.m. Marshall County Police responded to an auto accident on U.S. 30 and King Road.

Dawn E. Drummond 55, of Bourbon was traveling westbound on U.S. 30 and was stopped at the light, located at U.S. 30 and King Road.  Drummond states that Jaclyn N. Babbitt 25, of South Bend rear ended her vehicle causing damage to both vehicles.  Drummond was complaining of pain to her back and had to be extricated from the vehicle.  Drummond was treated at the scene by Plymouth EMS and was transported to St. Joseph Regional Hospital for examination.

Babbitt stated that she was traveling westbound on U.S. 30, directly behind Drummond.  She stated that she believed that the light was green and ran into the back of Drummond, causing damage to both vehicles.

Officer Les McFarland stated that Babbitt did have minor bleeding from her forehead.  She was also treated by Plymouth EMS and transported to St. Joseph Regional Hospital for examination.
