12/28/11 Plymouth Police Chief Jim Cox recently released the November Activity Report to members of the Board of Public Works and Safety.

Last month his staff answered 659 calls for information, conducted 313 traffic stops, did 276 security checks, responded to 208 complaints and was dispatched to 175 9-1-1 calls.  City officers handled 98 investigations, investigated 48 suspicious persons, made 44 criminal arrests, and issued 39 traffic warnings.

Plymouth police officers investigated 34 property damage accidents, made 29 traffic arrests, and investigated 29 animal complaints and 27 theft complaints.  The city’s K-9 Rex was used 24 times, while officers responded to 23 alarms, checked on 23 suspicious vehicles, handled 23 juvenile complaints, and checked 21 vehicles.  City officers checked on 20 disabled vehicles, conducted 12 welfare checks, located 9 open doors or windows, served 5 warrants, and 5 restraining orders.

The Plymouth Police Department enacted the Merchant Protection Plan 3 times in November while officers handles 2 trespassing complaints, 2 domestic fights, and 1 lockout.
