08/04/11 Ford Motor Company and Oliver Ford Lincoln Mercury will be partnering to help raise money in support of Plymouth High School as part of Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program. Plymouth Community members will have the opportunity to participate and help raise up to $8,000 for Plymouth High School by test driving an eligible Ford or Lincoln vehicle from Oliver Ford Lincoln at the Plymouth High School on August 6th.  Additional activities during the event include a bake sale, Tom’s Tasty Taters and Walleye sandwiches, and a Soap Game at 7PM that evening, with admission being a bottle of liquid body soap.  Also, the first 150 test-drivers will receive their choice of a laundry bag, a beach towel or flip flops from Oliver Ford.

Ford Motor Company and Oliver Ford Lincoln Mercury will donate $20 to Plymouth High School for every person from a unique household who test drives an eligible Ford or Lincoln vehicle. Participants will be raising money for the Football Program of Plymouth High School.

Since the start of the program in 2007, Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program has raised more than $2.3 million for close to 700 high schools across the country and has enabled more than 125,000 people to test drive new Ford vehicles. The monies raised during the Drive One 4 UR School program have helped fund extracurricular activities like sports and band programs, helping to ensure that these programs continue in local communities.

In addition to raising much-needed revenue for high school extracurricular activities, Ford Motor Company’s Drive One 4 UR School program also gives participants the chance to take a look at Ford and Lincoln Mercury’s exciting new cars and technologies.

“We at Oliver Ford Lincoln Mercury are proud to participate with Ford Motor Company and Plymouth High School in this wonderful event.,” said Jennifer Oliver Houin,  at Oliver Ford Lincoln.  “We are very fortunate to have a partner like Ford Motor Company who also cares so much about the youth of our nation.
