03/21/11 On Thursday, March 17th, at approximately 11:00pm Patrolman Nicholas Laffoon of the Marshall County Police Department was working Operation Pull Over in the area of US 30 and Plymouth Goshen Trail, when he observed a cream colored 1994 Jeep with a vehicle equipment violation. Upon stopping the vehicle Laffoon could smell the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. A subsequent probable cause search yielded a clear plastic bag containing approximately 22 grams of marijuana, and an open container of alcohol. During the investigation it was determined that the driver of the vehicle, Justin Tomblin, 21 of Plymouth was operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Tomblin was taken for a certified chemical test, then transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was charged with Operating While Intoxicated and Possession of Marijuana under 30 grams with a $1000.00 cash bond. Tomblin is scheduled to appear in Marshall County Superior 2 on March 29th at 8:30am.
