06/07/11 6They’re at it again!  Those Olivers and their band of merry difference-makers are at it again with a summer line-up of fun fundraisers and cool community support efforts!

The season kicks off with the Ounce of Prevention Beautiful Bra Decorating Contest, with entries being accepted at The Coffee Lodge in Plymouth until Friday, June 23rd at 6PM.  Elegant or wacky,  coolish or foolish, the decorated bras will be on display to raise awareness of how we’re all touched by breast cancer.  A mini-weekend vacation for two will be awarded to the top three winners.  Questions?  Email Jennifer.Houin@OliverFord.com

Saturday, June 25th, they’ll be “Joggin’ for Jugs” at the Ounce of Prevention Ta-Ta Trot run/walk for breast cancer.  The annual event supports the Nancy Jaynes Memorial Scholarship Fund (a part of the Marshall County Community Foundation), and takes place behind Oliver Ford Lincoln in Plymouth, with a shotgun start at 9AM.  Registrations are available at Oliver Ford, Yoders Sports Center and online at www.PlymouthOunceOfPrevention.org.  Those interested in the 2011 “Joggin’ for Jugs” t-shirts should send their requested size, along with $25, to OOP, P.O. What do cars and barbecue and St. Michael School have in common?  Nothing!….other than you’ll find the best of ALL of them  at the 2nd annual P-town Car-B-Q Showdown Saturday, July 16th from 10 to 3 at Oliver Ford Lincoln in Plymouth!  This fundraiser for St. Michael School presents a great showcase for professional or novicel BBQ-ers to strut their stuff for bragging rights.  The day’s activities include a cornhole competition …. beverages from The Brass Rail ….music by Dave Hamann … and did we mention lots and lots of cars?  Old Hoosier Wheels are organizing the show again this year, and it promises to be even better than its debut last year!  Details can be found online at www.Car-B-Q.com.  Questions?  Contact John Oliver at Oliver Ford.

Last ~ but not least! ~ Oliver Ford will team up with the PHS football team on Saturday, August 6th for another Drive One 4 Ur School event in front of the Rockies Rockpile.  Test drive a new Ford or Lincoln from 10 to 2 and Ford Motor Company will donate $20 per test drive ~ up to $6000! ~ to the PHS football team.  There will also be a raffle for an IPad the day of the event, donated by Oliver Ford.  The team will be selling tickets for Tom’s Tasy Taters and walleye sandwiches.  Contact any PHS football player or Laura Mann at 952-6742 for fish or raffle tickets.
