10/28/11  On Wednesday morning October 26^th at approximately 11:30 Officer Ray West with the Plymouth Police Department investigated a pedestrian being struck by a car at the intersection of Michigan and Jefferson Street.

The accident occurred when 61 year old Carol Baker of Walkerton who was east bound on Jefferson Street attempted to make a left hand turn on the Michigan Street.  35 year old Eric Goodrich of Plymouth was in the crosswalk heading west and was struck by Baker’s vehicle.

A witness at the scene said Baker did not have the turn arrow but had a green light.  Goodrich also had the walk sign and had the right-of-way.

Mr. Goodrich was transported to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth for head injuries.
