It won’t matter who the coach is as long as the team rosters and playing time are determined by the kid’s last name. It’s all about the connections.

I agree that sports is everything in this town always has been always will be. I think they should have given him a couple of more years at least like Mr Delp stated this morning he is a good guy and deserved more of a chance

WOW CommonCents, I can tell that you do not have a child at the high school. I for one, support the decision of the school corporation to let the coach who had the winning season this year go. I can not imagine letting my teenage daughter or son enter a classroom shortly after “the coach” just finished looking at some “subjective” material. Did u not hear him admit that he had some issues but he was trying to get them under control? As for Mr. Stuckmeyer, unfortunatley he took over for a legacy in this small minded town. He probably should not have changed things so quickly and then maybe I think he would have earned the respect of the kids, the teachers/administrators,and the “sports are everything” town of Plymouth and then he would probably still be here.

Maybe you could ask the LaVille coach to coach your 7-15 team next year. I hear he had a winning season this year. It’s called Karma. Look what happened to Notre Dame after they forced Lou Holtz out. Or how about IU. Have they ever been the same since they forced Bobby out? I’d say you have about 17 more years of suffering to go. And by the way, my first and last Plymouth boys BB game was the day I arrived early to get a good seat only to be told I was in the “reserved” seating section. Maybe the elder Edison would consider coming back to coach your team. I beleive he is a God fearing man. Maybe he’ll turn the other cheek and allow you to slap his family’s collective face a second time. Good luck to you Mr. Stuckmeyer. They probably did you a favor in the long run.
