09/07/11 A concerned citizen sent WTCA a photo Tuesday morning of a couple American Flags.  She was very concerned.

*Updated at 1:28 p.m. from the Blueberry Facebook: – These American Flags were carefully placed in our recycling bin after they were removed from the utility poles. They were temporarily placed there so they would not touch the ground. Both flags were removed and are now properly store for next years festival. We have flags displayed at all our entrances to the festival, on the Jefferson School Stage and Hank’s House.

Folks, we must remember that the festival is in the midst of a huge clean-up proces.  They are very careful to respect the flags and not allow them to touch the ground.  The American Flags were placed in the recycling bin, right side up only for a short period of time until the truck picking up the flags and banners following the scissor lift came along about 5 minutes later to gather all the items.      Posted by Kathy Bottorff WTCA
