02/07/11 The Plymouth High School Girl’s Swim Team placed 4th in the Warsaw sectional on Saturday with Kenzie Miller qualifying as a state-finalist in two events.

Warsaw won their own sectional with Culver Academies and Columbia City placing in front of the Pilgrims.  Huntington North, Rochester, Wabash and Tippecanoe Valley rounded out the sectional.

Kenzie Miller broke a sectional record with a time of 2:04.72 in the 200 Individual Medley.  She also qualified for state with a time of 56.77 in the 100 Backstroke.  Kenzie was also a part of the 400 Freestyle Relay that placed second.  The other members of that relay team were Hannah Eads, Kaley Brower and Kanica Chaisri.

Plymouth Diver Alayna Holmquest also qualified for regionals scoring 312.85 and will attempt to make state finals at Penn High School on Tuesday night.  She placed second to Rochester’s Quinn Bixler.

State Finals are next weekend at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis.
