Plymouth F.O.P. Sponsors 2nd Annual Self Defense Training

02/28/11 The 2nd Annual Practical Usable Self Defense training for Women and sponsored by Plymouth F.O.P. Lodge 195 will be held Monday, April 4th beginning at 6:30 p.m.     Location for the training will be at the Plymouth Family Taekwondo at the corner of LaPorte and Michigan Streets in Plymouth.

The evening will include a discussion on Domestic Battery with Laura Mann, board member of the Heminger House Women and Children’s Shelter for battered women.  Master Tim Castle will offer hands on demonstrations as well as allowing the women participating to practice the techniques.

Hurshel Hunter, President of FOP Lodge 195 said, “By the time the night was over last year lots of tears were shed.”

There is NO COST to participate in the event and Hunter said, “NO ONE NEEDS TO BE A VICTIM.”
