04/22/11  Plymouth High School’s Agriculture teacher and FFA (Future Farmers of America) Advisor, Kelli Hoffman, is seeking help from the community. She said, “On behalf of Plymouth High School FFA (Agriculture Department), we have been offered a unique opportunity to raise funds for our chapter by simply asking individuals to “vote” for our chapter online.  If we make it into the top 10 in Indiana, our chapter will automatically receive $1,500 from Monsanto Co.  If we are the #1 chapter with the most votes, we receive $6,500.”

Hoffman said, “To vote for PHS FFA, simply go to : http://www.ffachapterchallenge.com.  You will then click on “register & vote as a farmer”.”  Hoffman said those voting do not have to be farmers

She added, “Chapters are being challenged to spread the word of agriculture.  It will ask for your address, email, and birth date as well as your name.  The information will only be used for National FFA and is secure.”

Votes must be in by May 1, 2011 when the contest ends.
