09/23/11 The citizens who live, work and play in Plymouth helped to make the city a Pink place on Thursday.  Mayor Mark Senter proclaimed Thursday, September 22nd as Plymouth goes Pink Day as part of Ounce of Prevention and the Nancy Jaynes Memorial Scholarship.

Ounce of Prevention provided pink jerseys for the PHS Boys Varsity Soccer team and members of PHS Operation Leadership sold pink things at the school all week…t-shirts, feathers, bracelets and more.

Prior to the soccer game Mayor Mark Senter read his proclamation and Jennifer Houin and Jessica Oliver presented Nancy Jaynes’ son Evan Glaub who is a senior on the team with a check for $4,500 to go to the scholarship fund.

No matter where you went on Thursday people were in pink including restaurants, grocery stores and even the Jail.
