12/22/11 The Plymouth Kiwanis group helped to make Christmas a little sweeter for children at the Plymouth Boys and Girls Club.  Kiwanians arranged for Santa to pay the Boys and Girls Club a visit on Friday and pass out bags of candy they had donated.

Nearly 100 bags of candy were given out to kids who got in line to sit with Santa and tell them what they wanted for Christmas. Kiwanis members gathered after their meeting this week to put bags of candy together for the children. Each member was asked to bring candy to their weekly meeting and it was all mixed together and bagged before Santa’s arrival.

Volunteers also provided cookies and hot chocolate for Santa and all the children to enjoy.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and once community at a time. The Plymouth Kiwanis meet each Tuesday at noon at Christo’s Banquet Center in Plymouth and interested new members are always welcome. For more information contact Tom Sibal at 935-8442.
