During the annual reorganization meeting, newly elected board members will be sworn in and they will hold an election of board officers. Melissa Christiansen and Larry Pinkerton were re-elected in November.
The board will establish regular meeting times and dates for the duration of the calendar year.
Three retirements will be considered including those of Mary Kaufman, Riverside Intermediate, Guidance; Deb Martin, Washington Elementary, grade 1, and Robert Remenith, Jefferson Elementary Principal. All three resignations, if accepted, would become effective at the end of the current school year.
Business transactions listed in the agenda include: Conflict of interest statements from board members; approval of temporary warrants; school funding equity resolution, textbook adoption guidelines, and a report on Plymouth High School graduation rate plan.
They will also seek to approve security benefits as administrators for the teacher’s retirement savings VEBA Plan.
Meetings of the school board are open to the public, but patron comments are restricted to agenda items.
