10/14/11 A historic walking tour of downtown Bremen is being offered Saturday afternoon as part of the Wythougan Valley Preservation Council’s Annual meeting.

The walk is for anyone interested. Participants will meet at the Bremen Standpipe (one block south of Plymouth Street on Jackson) at 3:00 for the tour which will be given by Pat Rowe with additional details by architect Kurt Garner.

Following the walking tour, Wythougan Valley Preservation Council is holding its annual meeting at 4:30 p.m. in the recently restored Bremen Depot.  Once a year, WVPC recognizes preservation efforts in Marshall County with the Daniel McDonald Preservation Awards.  This year five projects have been chosen and these winners will be announced at the meeting.

This year’s meeting is hosted by Historic Bremen and Wythougan Valley Preservation Council.  After the meeting the group is adjourning to Edward Christians in downtown Bremen for dinner, all in attendance are invited.
