04/05/11 Monday night the Plymouth Park Board awarded the quote for resurfacing the tennis courts in Centennial Park. The park had budgeted $38,000 for the project this year.
Superintendent Mike Hite said two quotes were received, one from K and M Asphalt from Ossian who had a quote of $32,500 but they did not include painting the courts. The second quote was from Leslie Asphalt from Indianapolis had a quote of $31,725 that included resurfacing, repainting and relining the 10 tennis courts.
Hite said the work would not begin until after the girls high school tennis season has ended and before summer tennis camp. He estimated the work would take a week, weather dependent and they are planning for early June.
