07/11/11 The Recycle Depot, under the direction of Mike Good, has generously donated computers to Earthworks for the Young Photographers Program. In a clear example of the benefits of recycling, Earthworks has received 11 computers recycled from those dropped at the Depot. Refurbished and spruced up, the computers will be used by children in Earthworks’ Young Photography Program.
During the week-long program taught by members of the Heartland Artists Camera Club and other professional photographers, children will take nature photographs. They will use the computers to edit and produce their photographs.
The Young Photographers week will conclude with a show of the children’s photographs at the Heartland Artists Gallery between July 20 and 30th (the gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday). Earthworks will host an opening for families and friends as well as the general public on July 24th at 1pm.
