09/27/11 Both the Riverside 6th Grade A and B volleyball teams claimed championships at the Riverside tourney on Saturday.
Both teams defeated Milford and Knox in straight 2-0 sets. Leaders for the A team were Kendall Rhodes with 10 service points, 17 assists, and 4 kills. Bailey Eveland had 25 service points, 12 assists, and 8 kills. Mackenzie Quissell served for 10 points. Jillian Miller was the B team leader with 29 service points. All-Tourney players were Eveland and Rhodes for the A team, while B team all-tourney players were Leah Smith and Jillian Miller. Both teams stand at 5-1 for the season.
