Rossville’s Friend Signs with Ancilla

02/17/11 Keri Friend of Rossville High School in Rossville, IN, has signed with the Ancilla College women’s volleyball team for the 2011 season.

Friend has lettered the past three years at Rossville where she was a three-time All-Conference selection in the Hoosier Heartland Conference.

An aspiring Business major, Friend received numerous honors during her prep career.  Her sophomore season, she earned All-County honors and the team’s Defense Award.  Her junior season, she was received the team’s Offensive Award.

“Keri was a great asset to the Rossville volleyball program and I know she will do great at the next level,” said Rossville volleyball coach Kathy Seager.  “Keri has a competitive drive and always wants to get better and is willing to learn.  Those are hard qualities to find in athletes these days.  I am very proud and happy for Keri.  She will be greatly missed, but will do great things as a Charger.”

Friend has played the last seven years at the club level for both Performance Point and Lafayette Volleyball Academy and participated in 2008 at the national finals in Dallas, TX.

“I am excited to have Keri join the Ancilla family,” said Ancilla volleyball coach Lana Singleton.  “She loves the game and Kathy Seager has done a great job developing her potential.  I also love that she is a good student and is involved in her community.”

Ancilla College is a Catholic, two-year, co-educational, liberal arts college in Donaldson, Indiana sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ.
