12/21/11 Saturday evening County Officer Kerry Brouyette was patrolling US 31 about 9 p.m. and observed a dark colored SUV commit a traffic violation.

Patrolman Brouyette initiated a traffic on US 31 south of 4A Road.  During the traffic stop the officer learned that the driver of the vehicle was 34 year old Ryan Lee Stockberger of Plymouth.  He appeared to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated with a controlled substance.

Officer Brouyette requested the Plymouth Police Department K-9 Unit at his location.  City Officer John Weir and his K-9 partner, Rex arrived on the scene.  As Rex walked around the vehicle he indicated the presence of narcotics.  During the investigation officers located K2 Synthetic Marijuana, controlled substance and paraphernalia.

Ryan Stockberger was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a Controlled Substance, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a prior charge, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Paraphernalia.  His bond was set at $1,000 cash.  Stockberger was booked in Saturday night at 11:20 and released Sunday morning at 6:25 after posting his cash bond.
