Last year everything was free and I assumed the same for this year. The lady doing the face painting actually called and asked if she could participate this year. She lost her job and is doing face painting as a way to take care of her bills. This was the third time she has been at the Second Friday events and has charged $5 every month. That being said, there were several children with broken hearts (including mine) about the face painting. Your ad states that there is free face painting, however the lady that was painting faces was charging $5 per face painting. My girls wanted to go for the face painting, however I can't afford $15 for 3 kids to get there faces painted. Like I said I truly appreciate the concept, and we still had fun, but that sure was a bummer. The festival was great and we truly appreciate it.
