11/13/11 The September Monthly Activity Report for the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was released on Wednesday.  The average daily inmate count continues to increase.  In January it was 94.2, February 78.4, March 92.9, April 89.5, May 93.5, June 105, July 110. August 113, and September 115.8.

The Top Ten Offenses for September arrests were in 10th place Battery, 9th Resisting Law Enforcement, 8th Marijuana, 7th Purchase of Precursors, 6th Probation Violations, 5th Possession of Controlled Substance, 4th Driving While Suspended, in third place Thefts, 2nd place Failure to Appear and the number one reason people were arrested in September – Operating While Intoxicated. 

179 people were incarcerated last month, Argos had 4 males and 2 females, Bourbon 10 males, Bremen 10 males and 2 females, Culver 1 female, Indiana State Police 6 males and 2 females, Sheriff’s Department arrested 52 males and 9 females while Plymouth officers arrested 56 males and 25 females.

Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated a total of 52 accidents in September. 42 accidents were property damage and 10 ere personal injury.  164 cases were filled with the Sheriff’s Department and 7 citations were issued.
