03/31/11 People’s University is a co-op of education designed to offer Marshall County residents an opportunity to engage in lifelong learning.  The class schedule includes all kinds of subjects, from science and technology to the arts, health and fitness.  Classes are open to anyone interested, and have very nominal fees, if any.  Last fall, People’s University offered a phenomenal 105 classes, with approximately 400 students taking advantage of this unique learning opportunity.

The first Spring Semester runs from April 4th through April 30th, and includes 40 classes.  Returning favorites include:  Bread baking at Earthworks, Basic Floral Design with Felke Florist, Computer classes at the Plymouth library and Culver Library, along with Coffee & Tea, 101 at the Culver Coffee Company.

Some new classes being offered this spring include:  Medical Terminology for Dummies with SJRMC, Steps to an Outstanding Yard at the Extension Office, and several day trips including Notre Dame, Medieval Times Theatre, and Chicago!
