12/20/11 Marshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin took a few minutes during the County Commissioner’s meeting Monday to recognize one of his staff. On November 18th Jailer/Dispatcher Tracy Swihart was able to talk father through the delivery of his son. The couple was in a vehicle on Main Street in Culver and before the ambulance arrived on the scene baby Leo arrived.
Matt Pittney, Communication Director for the Sheriff’s Department said Swihart started with the County in 1998 part time and hired on full time in 2000. She is the most senior civilian employee.
Sheriff Chamberlin awarded Swihart a blue stork pin.
