11/10/11 The Marshall County Council on Aging announces its new service, “Plymouth Community Cab”.
The Marshall County Council on Aging brought public transportation to Marshall County in 2008, and expanded its fleet of vehicles to eight in 2009 with the addition of several vans purchased through the federal economic stimulus bill. With this in hand, Marshall County Public transit is now ready to take the next step by introducing the “Plymouth Community Cab.”
The Plymouth Community Cab now offers an on demand response transportation with in the city limits of Plymouth. Anyone can call for a quick reliable service in Plymouth at an affordable price. Rides are just $2 for boarding and return trips for only $1. Again there is no pre scheduling involved –just call and go!
Marshall County Public Transit will continue to offer a pre-scheduled transportation to Plymouth residents and the rest of the county as well. Rides can be scheduled up to one month in advance for doctor’s appointments and other transportation needs in or out of the county
