Three Injuried in 2-Vehicle Crash

10/28/11 A 16 year old Plymouth girl was airlifted to a South Bend hospital and two other women were transported to the Plymouth hospital following a two vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.

Indiana State Police Trooper Jim Strong investigated the crash that occurred at the intersection of State Road 17 and Quince Road at 2:53 p.m.

The police report states that 16 year old Breanna Vanhulle of Plymouth was traveling north on Quince Road in a 1999 Dodge 4-door.  Vanhulle disregarded the stop sign and crossed State Road 17 in front of a 2005 Ford Pick-up truck driven by 38 year old Terra Minix of Culver.

The impact was severe and both vehicles ended up off the roadway on the northwest corner of the intersection.

Breanna Vanhulle was transported to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center and immediately airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.  The police report indicates that she sustained internal injuries.

Terra Minix was transported to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center and treated and released for injuries sustained in the crash.  A passenger in her vehicle, Penny Singleton of Plymouth was taken admitted to Plymouth Hospital for injuries to her arm.

Trooper Strong’s report lists that both vehicles were totaled.

Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. Breanna was listed in Fair condition at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
