This sounds like a really nice compromise and allows greater flexibility of getting the mail. I have been living abroad a number of years now and in smaller towns (like the one I live in) it is part of another business (like a general mercantile). It kind of reminds me of "The Waltons"--except for the language difference. I read in another news source that the USPS has been entertaining the idea of “Village Post Offices”.
