03/21/11  United Way 2-1-1 has launched its new Regional website, www.myuw211.org. United Way 2-1-1 is the nationally designated number for information and referral across the country. It quickly and efficiently connects callers with local human, health, and social services in their community.

The Regional 2-1-1 database includes over 2,000 local agencies with approximately 8,000 programs and services in Marshall, Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko, LaPorte and St Joseph Counties.

Until now, 2-1-1 had a more limited database and only provided web services to LaPorte County. With the new Regional website, in addition to call capabilities, the entire region will be able to access the new, larger database through chat and search capabilities. Users can chat live with a specialist or search the expansive 2-1-1 database by keyword. The new website adds more convenience and anonymity to an already amazing local resource.

United Way 2-1-1 is the bridge between the community and the answers they need to find local services, from general community information to counseling, food, clothing, after-school programs, shelter, legal and financial assistance, and much more!

Give it a try! To speak with an information and referral specialist today, call 2-1-1 or visit www.myuw211.org to chat.
