08/16/11 The United Way of Marshall County invites the public to attend its annual Campaign Kick-off Luncheon on Friday, August 19, 2011, at Knights of Columbus in Plymouth, Indiana at 11:30 a.m.

During the luncheon, Mike Lintner, CEO of Marshall-Starke Development Center, will serve as Master of Ceremonies.  John Zeglis, Retired President of AT&T, Chairman & CEO of AT&T Wireless and Founder & Chairman, Fort Wayne Mad Ants will be the guest speaker.  “Each of Us, Helping All of Us” is this year’s campaign theme and symbolizes the spirit of United Way’s mission.  “Our goal of $475,000 can only be achieved if each of us recognize the need to give a little”, said Chad Dreibelbis, 2011 Campaign Drive Chair.  “Our campaign focus is to convince our corporate neighbors that United Way is vital to the livelihood of our community and many of their employees.  Partnering with United Way allows us the opportunity to deliver our message efficiently to the general population and workforce.  The more opportunities we have with our corporate partners, the better chance we have to reach our goal and improve the lives of our neighbors.  Please help make a difference by being the difference.”

The United Way of Marshall County invests in the building blocks for a good life: income, education and health.  All United Way programs seek to advance the common good.   By helping children, leading adults to self-sufficiency and strengthening neighborhoods and communities, “all of us” are creating a stronger future for Marshall County.  Join the United Way on Friday for the Kick-off and Live United!

The luncheon at no cost to attendees is furnished through generous donations from Homemade to Go/Hoosier Catering, Martin’s Supermarket, Ponderosa, Coca-Cola, Overmyer Water, Papa John’s, Kroger and St. Michaels Altar Rosary Society.
